seasons change.

January 8, 2007

autumn is my all time favourite season. the coloured leaves, windy days, power outages, and falling branches. i love walking through the park, fallen leaves crunching underneath my feet, while more from surrounding trees join them. i love how you don’t need to wear a giant thick jacket to step outside, but it’s time to take out the scarves and mittens that have been hiding in your closet all summer.

winter’s nice too, especially the soft falling snow landing in your hair. throwing giant snowballs at your friends and making snow angels. coming home to a warm house and drying off your soaked jeans. a cup of steaming hot chocolate awaits in front of the tv that shows christmas specials.  christmas trees are one of my favourite things. the lights and the tinsel sparkling. it’s kinda sad when you need to take all those decorations off and get rid of the tree.

as soon as spring and summer come, i’ll write about what makes them special for me.

going off,

December 31, 2006

Well, I’m just about to leave to go to my friend’s house for new years. I hope we have a good time, which I’m pretty sure we will.

Last night I had the sweetest, scariest, saddest and most maddening dream. I might tell you about it sometime, or I might just keep it to myself.

first post!

December 31, 2006

Well, first post ever on this. I’m so new to this, but it seems pretty cool.

So on here you can call me Sibley. It’s a name I got from this new book I’ve been reading, called “No Shame, No Fear” by Ann Turnbull. So far it’s pretty good.

I just got back from Indigo and they have SUCH a good sale on some books. I found two thick, hardcover, and new-looking books for only two dollars each! I was about to spend money on Starbucks, but buying the books was a much better choice.

Lately I’ve been very much into reading and all kinds of books. The library is such a nice place. It’s quiet, with big comfy couches, and it has tons of interesting books.

Tommorow’s New Years Eve! I’m not doing anything ALL that exciting, just sleeping over at a friend’s place.

I was really lazy this Christmas. I barely did anything except help my mom shop for presents. Usually I would write out cards for all my friends, but this year I didn’t and I regret it. I have this feeling that I lost my Christmas spirit this year, and that I could have worked harder at spreading holiday cheer. It makes me feel pretty lousy. Next year, I’ll do all I can to change that. I could have at least sent out E-cards.

I’m so glad school’s over. Class was so dull, my eyes began to water at how tired I was. I guess I shouldn’t complain; at least I get a good education. Still, I wish it was a teensy bit more interesting.

Wow, this blog thing is so cool. It has spell-check and everything. I’ll try to write in here as often as I can. Hopefully it’ll be more successfull that my attempt at keeping a diary.
